Production support.....

Last week my client related a very funny incident that happened with one of the contractor working in my office. It goes like this... This person, say X, was on call for the first time. Here they have a on call hand book. It will contain details of all the jobs that failed in the past and also the noted added by the on call person on the resolution provided. Its considered very useful for any new person because its a handy reference. Any person who is on call for a particular day will take it home for referencce. He/She will hand it over to the next on call person and it goes on in this manner. On this particlar day, our friend X took this book. When he went to get into the car, he placed the book on the roof of the car while he was opening the car, and forgot to take it when he got into the car. Well, he started to drive and entered the freeway.... suddenly, he observed in his rear view mirrior that there were a whole bunch of papers flying around...... Oops.... suddenly he remembered that it was the on call hand book....he shouldered the car and started to run behind the flying papers!!!

The next day he comes in with a big trash bag...... ppl around him ask.... whats up buddy?? why are you bringing this trash bag to office? .... well he says..... bcoz its not trash, but papers from our On call Handbook..........!!!!!!

Every one around him had a nice laugh after hearing his misadventure..!!!

Desi Restaurants...

Yesterday we went for lunch with our client to an Indian restaurant. Its kind of funny to see how the restaurant owners try to replicate the Indian settings here in the US. They put up a lot of Indian paintings and also there will be ample posters indicating the new (indian) movies that are showing in some nearby theatre! namma oor makkal sevarula poster otratha niruthave maatangapa!
Well... coming back to restaurants.... We have a south indian restaurant here in Seattle. I don’t want to comment on the food that they serve there...but the funkiest part of the restaurant is its menu.... Plain Dosa - Crepes prepared with rice batter; Masala Dosa - Crepes prepared with rice batter, stuffed with Mashed potato and Onion curry; Vadai Sambhar - Salted Donuts dipped in Tamarind Vegetable Soup; Onion Uthappam - Salted Pancakes garnished with Onions & Chilies; etc.... On one hand I really feel so happy that they try to convince the locals of here as to what the dish is.... but on the other hand, really knowing what the dishes are..... trying to imagine the way they portray it is really funny!

Alarm clock

Well what happened today will not be a new experience for a lot of ppl out there. I guess namma ellarume eppovavathu paadhi tookathuliye alarm set panna try panni iruppom.... it so happened that i was feeling so drowsy yesterday before i went to bed... i wanted to set the alarm to 6:10 am.... but i set it as 16:10 hrs! (oops....!) luckily for me there was some call today morning (ofcourse that was not intended for me) which shook me awake! I saw that the time was 6:15am (very lucky...poof!)

Itha sollumbothu enaku nyabagam vara vishyam onnu irukku... when I was in my first year college, there was this fellow P., one of my room mates... This was during the semester time... I had kept the alarm for say 6:45 or something in the morning and slept off... this P. took my alarm clock and changed the alarm to 3:00 am.... he was so confident about the fact that he would get up (or not get up I should say) at that unearthly hour that he hid the clock in the shoerack! Well...the funniest part of this whole episode was the fact that, when the alarm went off.... he was happily sleeping and all other three of us in the room were trying to figure out where the clock was! While we were trying to find out the whereabouts of the clock at least 20 other ppl woke up except P.!

Yaaro puthusa vanthirukanga Seattle ku, avangala pick pannikanum nu PM sonnar... sari ok nu Crossroads kitta pick pannikitu kelambarappo stop line ku konjam frontle niruthiten :( maams vanthutaaru.. naal aarambathulaye moi panam $101. sari ozhinju poguthu nu office poi sentha... anga clients yaarume varale... che namma mattum vara vendi irukke nu polambikitte irukkum bothu KT kudukka vara client evening than varuvaangala nu sonnanga...super nu nenachu browse panna aarambichen!(avanga eppo vanthu eppo project pathi solli..... che che che... romba tholla pa!)... Eppadiyo romba naal kazhichu office vanthum nothing to do.... relaxed a irunthuthu inniku!

Finalla....Vanilai arivippu.... inniku athisayama nalla brighta irunthuthu.. paakave santhoshama irunthuthu....veliya poi paatha than theriyuthu velucham mattum than irukku konja kuda suriyan udambula oraikave ille nu!!!!!

En per Srikumar.... blogging ku naan romba puthusu ille..... aana.... naan oru somberi.... so i easily discontinue to bolg..... ithu ennoda 4th blog... :). hmm.... naan Seattle, US ku vanthu 5 months aachu.... inga vanthathu lenthu enaku surprising a irukara vishayam intha place le irukara weather..... inga eppovume mazhai kaalam than.... mazhai na namma oorla irukara maathiri kedayathu..... eppovume drizzling mattum than irukkum.... aana, thats enuf to get on ppls nerves... atleast enaku appadithan..... Ore nalla vishayam enna na inga snow kedayathu.... naanum snow iruntha nalla irukkum nu nenacha kaalam undu... aana en friends(east coast of US le irukara pasanga) solratha keta apparam intha weather parava ille nu thonuthu! But still.... mornng office porathulenthu, veetukku thirumbi vara varaikum konja kuda veluchame ille.... really i dont understand how ppl can live here for years bearing this kind of weather.....
